The School Nutrition Program's mission is "Leading all Children to Success by providing  appealing, nutritious meals with TLC".

Want to volunteer? We are inviting parents and the community to participate in our wellness meetings by joining as a representative for your school. We meet 3 times a year at the Central Office from 3:30-4:00pm.  If you have any questions, please contact Peggy Ingram at 706-864-3611.

Lumpkin County BOE offers MyPaymentsPlus (www.mypaymentsplus.com ), a state-of-the-art online service that provides you the convenience and information you need to manage your student’s meal account. This system speeds up serving lines in the cafeteria, eliminates the need to send checks to school or worry about lost or forgotten lunch money, and ensures that your child will receive a nutritious meal..

At no cost, MyPaymentsPlus allows any family to:

• Create a free, secured account to manage all of your student's accounts

Check your student’s current account balance

• Create settings to receive email notifications when the account reaches a low balance

For a small program fee, MyPaymentsPlus allows any family to:

Make a prepayment into your student’s meal account using a check, credit card, or debit card at www.mypaymentsplus.com or by calling 866-206-6271. Funds deposited through MealpayPlus are usually available for student use within a matter of minutes.

• Create settings to automatically replenish your student’s account when it reaches a low balance

 

For the 2017-18 school year, we strongly encourage all parents (even if you do not prepay for your student’s meal account) to create an account at no cost through www.mypaymentsplus.com . To create a new account, follow the onscreen directions and register your student using their Student ID number. Student ID numbers can be obtained by contacting customer support at: 1-877-237-0946 or Peggy Ingram at 706-864-3611.

For those who do wish to prepay into their student’s meal account, MyPaymentsPlus offers several convenient ways to do so by visiting www.mypaymentsplus.com or calling 866-206-6271 from anywhere, at anytime.

Seamless Summer Meals

Summer Feeding for 2017 begins June 5th!  This year meals will be served at 4 sites during the month of June at Blackburn Elementary, Park and Recreation Center, Mountain Education Center and during the Inspiration Camp at the high school. For complete dates and when sites will be serving refer to the calendar at the bottom of this page. In July, meals will be served from July 10th to July 21st at 3 sites. Students attending Blackburn Elementary's 21st Century's Summer Camp enjoy a nutritious meal during the month of June.


The Seamless Summer kitchen staff is preparing nutritious and appetizing meals. The staff is lead by Blackburn manager, Kathy Fleming. In accordance with our Food Services policy on charging, Lumpkin County Schools observes the right to provide alternate meals to students who incur unpaid meal charges. Any student who has applied for free or reduced meals are encouraged to prepay for meals or bring money until eligibility notice is received. Moreover, each school follows the charge policy as outlined in the school handbook. For questions concerning the meal charge policy contact the local school administrator or the nutrition director at 706-864-3611.
